Abstract

This paper reports on the results of a case study of management controls in an Indonesian family-owned University. The paper attempts to understand the nature and dynamics of management controls in the operations of the University. Data for the analyses are gathered from multiple sources including document analysis, observations and semi-structured interviews. Abstract

This paper presents a stylized model of international trade and asset price bubbles. Its central insight is that bubbles tend to appear and expand in countries where productivity is low relative to the rest of the world. These bubbles absorb local savings, eliminating inefficient investments and liberating resources that are in part used to invest in high-productivity countries. Through this channel, bubbles act as a substitute for international capital flows, improving the international allocation of investment and reducing rate-of-return differentials across countries. This view of asset price bubbles could eventually provide a simple account of some real world phenomena that have been difficult to model before, such as the recurrence and depth of financial crises or their puzzling tendency to propagate across countries.

Random access memory or RAM is a type of computer storage whose contents can be accessed in any order. This is in contrast to sequential memory devices such as magnetic tapes, discs and drums, in which the mechanical movement of the storage medium forces the computer to access data in a fixed order. It is usually implied that RAM can be both written to and read from, in contrast to read-only memory or ROM.

Management Information Systems (MIS) are information systems, typically computer-based, that are used within an organization. WordNet describes an information system as "a system consisting of the network of all communication channels used within an organization". A management information system may also be defined as "a system that collects and processes data (information) and provides it to managers at all levels who use it for decision making, planning, program implementation, and control." An information system is comprised of all the components that collect, manipulate, and disseminate data or information. It usually includes hardware, software, people, communications systems such as telephone lines, and the data itself. The activities involved include inputting data, processing of data into information, storage of data and information, and the production of outputs such as management reports.

سیستم اطلاعات مدیریتی (MIS)

سیستم های اطلاعات مدیریتی (MIS) به آن دسته از سیستم های اطلاعاتی اطلاق می گردد که معمولا بر اساس کامپیوتر استوار بوده ودر داخل یک سازمان مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد . شبکه جهانی از سیستم اطلاعاتی به عنوان سیستمی یاد می کند که شامل شبکه همه کانالهای اطلاعاتی     می باشد که در داخل یک سازمان مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد . همچنین می توان سیستم اطلاعات مدیریتی را به عنوان سیستمی تعریف کرد که به جمع آوری و پردازش اطلاعات پرداخته و این اطلاعات را در اختیار مدیران قرار داده تا از آن در جهت تصمیم گیری ، برنامه ریزی ، اجرای برنامه و نظارت استفاده نمایند . یک سیستم اطلاعاتی مشتمل بر همه بخشهایی است که به گردآوری ، پردازش و اشاعه اطلاعات می پردازند . معمولا این سیستم شامل سخت افزار ، نرم افزار ، انسانها ، سیستم های ارتباطی مانند خطوط تلفن و اطلاعات می باشند . فعالیت هایی که در این سیستم صورت می گیرد عبارتند از وارد کردن داده ها ، پردازش داده به اطلاعات ، ذخیره سازی داده ها و اطلاعات و تولید خروجی هایی از قبیل گزارشات مدیریتی .
